| This class will cover the tools and techniques used to create your own handmade books, with an emphasis on making books rather than creating written or illustrated content. Students will learn construction techniques including pamphlet binding and Japanese stab binding and decorative techniques to create paste papers and covers. Alternative styles of book creation such as accordion fold and single-pages books will be discussed. No previous experience is required, and you'll finish with a variety of sample books to use for sketchbooks, journals, or gifts!
