| This focused figure painting class will cover drawing correctly from nature as a basic foundation for good figure painting. Students will work from a live model, while learning how to represent the figure in oil using a limited palette. Working with a limited palette of only white, yellow, red and black simplifies the process of accurately mixing flesh tones while also keeping the painting harmonious. Emphasis will be on gesture, proportion, coloring mixing, and the use of light in the composition. tudents will work alongside the instructor as each stage of the process is explained and demonstrated. Discussions and lectures, as well as personalized instruction and feedback, will be given.
