Upcycled Art (ages 9–12) - online class

CourseGraphic
Upcycling is an art trend that utilizes items that would normally go to waste or be recycled. Students will use newspapers, magazines, old books, corrugated cardboard, plastic water bottles, and discarded copy paper to create art and help save the planet! Projects will include newspaper origami, papier mâché bowls, woven placemats, paper-bead jewelry, picture frames, plastic-bottle fruit, and more.

To participate, students will need to have access to a computer, tablet, or phone with internet and access to Zoom.

The class materials fee covers a specially curated art supply kit which will be available for pickup at the Art Center the week prior to the start of class. At the end of the class, the kits are yours to keep for continued artmaking!
