Acrylic Painting Basics


Acrylics are one of the most versatile painting mediums incorporating both watercolor and oil painting techniques. Students will paint from photographs, still lifes, and their imaginations in both classical realism and abstract styles while learning underpainting, glazing, and impasto textural effects. Discussions will include color mixing, brush handling, and palette-knife techniques. By the end of the class you will have created several finished paintings in a variety of styles.
