Still Lifes on the Clock

Wednesdays, 9:30am-12pm

Learn how to compose and block in a still life in this fun, fast-paced class. Utilize your cell phone camera to develop a composition, then tone your canvas, and draw the initial blocking in with oil paint. In weeks 1-6 students will do a series of quick (10-20 minute) studies of various still-life objects (a timer will keep students moving quickly, developing great camaraderie as they as they all work to beat the clock!) In weeks 7-10 they will work on an 8x10 canvas and paint a finished still life based on the studies they have done.
