Figurative Color Studies - 5 weeks

Learn to paint convincing flesh tones in this class. Each week students will create small composition studies from a different model in order to investigate various skin tones. This is a great way to learn to examine color relationships and create harmonious compositions. Subjects covered will include color theory in regards to working from the figure, how to create a study for a painting, and setting up a practical color palette (both limited and expanded). This class is useful for artists interested in either representational or abstract work based on the human figure.
