| Explore various approaches to design and create textured tiles for framing into beautiful wall art. In the first session, students will plan their designs; learn how to roll clay into slabs; create textures with lace, stamps, leaves and more; and how to properly handle and dry tiles to avoid warping. In the second session learn how to use glazes and oxides effectively to highlight design features, as well as the process of assembling, mounting, and framing completed tile compositions. Students will have the opportunity to complete two different designs.
