Loosening Up with Watercolor

Watercolor is generally considered a loose medium, but many end up working with it more tightly. If you’re dreaming of letting go, join us as we use the element of time and some of the principles of figure drawing to develop a sense of immediacy, conveying subjects with only the most essential information. Subject matter will vary with preference for still life objects over photo references. Students will have the opportunity to paint from the figure at the end of the session. The class emphasizes exercise-driven work rather than finished pieces to help build fluidity and confidence in painting.
