| Understanding color harmony and the way colors interact are critical skills for artmaking in any medium. Through exercises, students will be introduced to the principles of color theory and color mixing; create a color wheel; and experiment with using analogous, complementary, and monochromatic color schemes. Students will learn color mixing by using only black, white, and primary colors. While this class will focus on painting, the instruction provided will help any student wanting to understand and use color more effectively in their chosen medium.
