CourseGraphic
Mokume-gane is a traditional Japanese technique of combining different color metals for a layered result, similar to the appearance of woodgrain. This workshop will introduce how Precious Metal Clay (PMC) can be used to achieve the stunning look of mokume-gane. Students will learn the techniques of combining silver and copper PMCs to create a woodgrain pattern, the proper firing of combined PMCs, and how to finish their pieces to enhance the mokume-gane patterning.
