Introduction to Precious Metal Clay (PMC) - 5 weeks

Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is an incredibly versatile material that starts as malleable clay and, when fired, becomes solid metal. Jewelers and non-jewelers alike are welcome to explore this amazing material and create their own PMC jewelry pieces in silver. Learn how to mold, form, texture, extrude, and set stones with PMC. Students will also be shown how to fire kilns, and learn finishing techniques such as polishing and using patinas. A PMC tool kit will be available to purchase in class.
