Whether you are a wheel thrower or handbuilder, learn how to turn just another bowl into something different and special by adding a decorative touch. Explore techniques and materials such as colored slips, underglazes, wax resist, and sgraffito. Learn how adding features like handles and lids can transform a piece. Students will also be encouraged to “make lemonade out of lemons” by turning flaws into design elements. Previous experience is recommended.
