Shibori is a Japanese method of resist dyeing where artists fold, bind, and sew fabric prior to the dyeing process to create beautiful patterns on the material (similar to tie-dyeing). Students will learn a variety of folding and binding techniques, and then immerse their pieces into indigo dye baths. Wear clothes that can get messy and prepare to have fun. Some materials provided.
