| This course is designed for artists interested in becoming Teaching Artists—either at the Art Center or elsewhere. Teaching at a studio school requires a special skill set to meet the needs of a diverse audience. This course will provide an overview of these skills, and how to develop them to ensure a satisfied student experience in the classroom. Topics covered include course development, preparation, marketing, presentation skills, classroom communication and management, demonstrations, and how to address the needs of a wide range of experience levels. This course is recommended for those who wish to achieve full instructor status at the Art Center (certification available on completion).
