This course approaches silkscreen printing as a medium of artistic expression, concentrating on technique and experimentation. The basics of screenprinting, from image-making and screen and material preparation, to the use of silkscreen printing as a creative outlet (including monoprinting and edition printing) will be covered. Develop a suite of prints while exploring the ins and outs of the rich world of silkscreen printing. Beginners welcome! Starting materials provided and additional materials will be discussed in class.
