Basic Bling

This course will introduce you to everything you need to know as a beginning jeweler. Students will be familiarized with the tools and techniques of jewelry making and metalsmithing. We will discuss and perform techniques, such as piercing and sawing, soldering, surface embellishment with hammers, chasing, etching, cold connections, forging, and more. Students will create designs based on the techniques they have learned, and discuss creating a small collection.
