Introduction to Printmaking (ages 13-17)


Students will explore three printmaking methods: monoprints, linoleum cuts, and collographs. Each of these methods lends themselves to experimentation with infinite variations. The beauty of the printmaking process is that each print is a work in progress; elements can be added or subtracted, and prints can be layered over each other with dynamic results. Students will learn the histories of the various processes and be given step-by-step guidance.
