| This course is an introduction to the world of character design for comics, video games, animation and more. This class highlights the various subjects needed to learn how to develop exciting characters. Each week students are introduced to a new professional character designer’s work, and a specific project is given to practice techniques and imaginative drawing. Areas of focus will be on gesture drawing, introduction to basic anatomy, portrait sketching and how to do turnarounds when developing a character. Some basic drawing skills are needed to get the most from this class.
