Learn the ins and outs of an incredibly accessible medium: pastels! Through reference guided demonstrations where the subject matter changes weekly, students will be given the opportunity to explore pastels through a variety of lenses including still life, landscapes, and portraits. With an emphasis on the medium’s foundation techniques such as blending, color mixing, layering, texture, and composition, students will be encouraged to take the skills that they’ve learned and use them to pursue their own pastel masterpieces.
