CourseGraphic
Summer Art Camp for Kids (ages 5–9)
Monday–Friday, 10 AM–3 PM
In 2023, we will feature all-new art projects in our classic themes while also debuting two new themes for more adventurous artists. Every week kids will work on both 2D and 3D projects in a variety of media that may include painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media. Campers will be divided into limited-size groups based on age. If you have a friend attending camp and would like to be grouped together, please note this during registration.

Summer Sampler
June 19–23, 10 AM–3 PM
Try it all! Summer Sampler includes at least one art project from each upcoming camp theme, plus a few inspired by classic summer pastimes. Projects will not be repeated later in the summer should your camper be lucky enough to join us for multiple weeks.

Comics, Cartoons & Characters

June 26–30, 10 AM–3 PM
Dive into the world of cartoons, comics, and popular characters in everyone’s favorite camp! Create super fun art projects of familiar friends, like printmaking inspired by characters from Where the Wild Things Are, ceramic trolls, and paintings of The Grinch.

Art Around America (3 days)
July 5–7, 10 AM–3 PM
Celebrate Independence Day through artwork inspired by American artists and famous landmarks. During this patriotic week, we’ll make art projects such as dioramas of Yellowstone National Park and pastel projects inspired by American artist Georgia O’Keeffe.

NEW! Buildings & Cities
July 10–14, 10 AM–3 PM
Join us for an ALL NEW week of art camp, where the projects are inspired by the architecture and buildings we see around us every day. Art projects will include medieval castle drawings, a Golden Gate Bridge collage, and a cityscape diorama.

Animals & Wildlife Art
July 17–21, 10 AM–3 PM
This week of camp is like taking a trip to the zoo, but so much more creative! Explore the exciting world of animals and their amazing habitats. Kids will create projects such as papier-mâché foxes, colored pencil fishbowls, and ironically colorful zebras.

Appetite for Art
July 24–28, 10 AM–3 PM
Dig in! This week of camp will feature art projects inspired by delicious foods and snacks. Campers will learn several art techniques while cooking up projects like a mouthwatering clay cheeseburger and a mixed-media artwork of a breakfast skillet.

Art Around the World
July 31–August 4, 10 AM–3 PM
Pack your bags! Kids will “travel” the world and learn how different cultures create art. Make a watercolor painting of Asian paper lanterns, print a Moroccan architectural design, and create an African safari diorama. Your camper will become fluent in the universal language of art!

Art in Nature
August 7–11, 10 AM–3 PM
An old favorite theme returns! Be inspired by the beauty around us every day in nature. Campers will create projects from a clay snail to a Zentangle rainbow painting to seashells illustrated with colored pencil.

NEW! At the Circus
August 14–18, 10 AM–3 PM
Art takes center stage at this ALL NEW week of camp, featuring projects inspired by a trip to the circus. Kids will create projects that capture the whimsy and amusement of a classic circus, such as a mixed-media artwork of circus animals on a train, a Chagall-inspired circus painting, and an elephant in clay.

Mini Masters
August 21–25, 10 AM–3 PM
Kids become mini masters while experimenting with art media and techniques used by famous artists. While learning about art history, campers will paint primary colored animals inspired by Piet Mondrian, sculpt cats inspired by Laurel Birch, and use pastels in a project inspired by Diego Riveria.
