Gain hands-on experience with the historical photographic process Cyanotype in this workshop. Cyanotype is a contact printing process with prints characterized by a distinct Prussian blue color. It is ideal for experimenting and creating prints with a full range of tones. Learn how to create digital negatives in Adobe Photoshop from your existing digital photographs. Students are also welcomed to digitize film negatives or other flat media with our scanners. Emulsion mixing, paper coating, exposing, and processing will be demonstrated step-by-step. Students will have the freedom to make a variety of Cyanotype test strips and prints. Some prior experience with Photoshop is helpful, but not required.
