| Learn the art of portrait painting in the classical method of teaching found in the 19th Century French Academy (Ecole de Beaux Art) and Ateliers. Focus will be on the technical process of drawing from a live model and developing a portrait in oil paint from life with emphasis on structure, proportion, and gesture. All levels of student are welcome. The instructor will work alongside the students for the duration of the workshop while giving demos, and one-on-one critiques. Materials fee covers the cost of the live model.
