Through reference guided demonstrations where the subject matter changes weekly, students will be given the opportunity to explore pastels through a variety of lenses including still lifes, landscapes, and portraits. With an emphasis on the medium’s foundational techniques such as blending, color mixing, layering, texture, and composition, students will be encouraged to take the skills that they have learned and use them to pursue their own pastel masterpieces.
