Painting the Still-Life: Fruits & Vegetables

Fruits and vegetables are rich in color and nuances that are engaging to paint. See how proper lighting helps to form the basis for a dimensional and dramatic painting. The principles of color mixing and composition will be covered, as well as how to create the ideal background for your piece. Emphasis will be on students developing their painting skills and moving their paintings to a finished stage. Individual attention will also be emphasized. Still-lifes will be provided but students may work from photographic references if desired.
