Art journaling is a wonderful tool and habit to have. Keeping a journal that contains ones inspirations, frustrations, dreams and fears is a way to creatively process this thing called life. Students will create a journal with simple book binding techniques and fill them with a variety of page filling techniques that include collaging, printmaking, stamping, and more. Students are encouraged to bring in any materials they would like to include in their journal, but a wide selection of magazines, paper types, and mediums will be available. Demonstrations and step by step instructions will be given, as well as plenty of time for students to create and experiment on their own. All materials including a bookbinding kit will be provided.
