Painting with Pastels

CourseGraphic Learn how to layer pastels with a focus on composition, value, and color theory. You will experiment with pastel application, color mixing, and blending while taking this class. There will be opportunities to enhance your skills using pastels to create landscapes and still lifes. Additionally, a demonstration will be given on underpainting, a painting technique that affects the brightness of a white canvas. A variety of materials for the class will be discussed and you will be able to choose your favorite materials to use for your finished painting.
