Fundamentals of Drawing & Painting (ages 11-13) - 9 weeks

Build a foundation! Study composition, perspective, proportion, color theory, and values while creating still lifes, landscapes, portraiture, figure drawing, and more. Talk about art concepts with demonstrations and step-by-step lessons to gain an understanding of what makes strong drawings and paintings. All materials provided and students will have the opportunity to work from a clothed model for one session. Previous students who have taken this class and already have the materials, are welcomed to bring them to class or use the Art Center's materials.
