July 5, Single Day: Art in America (For Rising K-1st Graders)

CourseGraphic Celebrate America's birthday by creating one of a kind creative artworks! During the 4th of July week the Art Center will be hosting individual day camps where students can come and create art based on American artists and attractions. Each day students will create 2-3 art projects such as a pastel drawing of Vermont in the fall, an Empire State Building drawing and a Georgia O'Keeffe style painting. Students may sign up for the full 4 days of camp or sign up per day.


Students work on three separate art projects a day. Each week students will create 1 clay project, 1 sculpture project, several painting, drawing, collage and other mixed media projects.

Daily Schedule:
9:45-10AM           Morning Check-In
10-11:30AM         Morning Art Project 
11:30AM-12PM    Lunch (packed from home)
12-1:15PM           Afternoon Art Making
1:15-1:30PM        Snack (packed from home)
1:30-3PM             Afternoon Art Project
3-3:15PM             Afternoon Pick-Up

Notice

Please read:  Morning Check-In begins at 9:45 am. Afternoon Pick-Up is at 3:00 pm. Extended Day Early Drop-Off and Late Pick Up is available for an additional price. Attire: Old clothes or bring an apron/smock. What to Bring: Please remember to pack a lunch, including a drink, each day. Students do go outside during the day, so sunscreen and bug spray are encouraged.
