This class is designed for intermediate and advanced students to explore a variety of printmaking techniques, with an emphasis on monoprint, intaglio, relief and mixed processes. With a push towards experimentation and independence, students will be challenged to create new works that could be a series of artist books, suites of prints, or simply new bodies of work. This course will fluctuate between direct group instruction and demonstration, individual instruction and ample open studio work time, allowing students to learn and explore new processes/ techniques. More experienced students are encouraged to enroll in "Contemporary Printmaking: Guided Open Studio." Some materials provided. Additional materials needed will be discussed in class.
