SUMMER ART CAMPS
Summer Art Camp at the Art Center helps campers take advantage of the wellness benefits of art-making, including boosted self-confidence and improved social and emotional wellbeing, all while providing a fun and creative camp experience. Last summer, the Art Center safely welcomed more than 1,000 happy campers with zero reported cases of COVID-19. This summer, we will keep individual class sizes small for maximum instructor and counselor attention. Camps will be held indoors in our well-ventilated, sanitized, professional art studios. For caregiver convenience, a carline will be used for camper drop-off and pick-up, and based on parent feedback, we will be communicating via email about what happens during the camp day at the Art Center. Please note that safety is a priority, and specific protocols will be refined based on guidance closer to the start time of camp; these details will be shared with caregivers in a welcome email prior to your session.
Half-Day Digital Summer Art Camp for Tweens
Monday–Friday, 10 AM–12:15 PM
This camp offering is perfect for campers looking to expand their skills in the ever-evolving field of digital arts. This small-group camp will take place in our socially-distanced and sanitized digital arts studio. Due to the limited nature of this camp, each week will be repeated to accommodate more students.
July 25–29, 10 AM–12:15 PM
Dive into digital! In our fully-equipped digital lab, tweens will use software to explore the concept of fine art in the digital realm. Tweens will analyze elements of art and learn how to apply them to create digital art. This camp will also cover artistic concepts of composition and idea development.
