Summer Art Camp at the Art Center helps campers take advantage of the wellness benefits of art-making, including boosted self-confidence and improved social and emotional wellbeing, all while providing a fun and creative camp experience. Last summer, the Art Center safely welcomed more than 1,000 happy campers with zero reported cases of COVID-19. This summer, we will keep individual class sizes small for maximum instructor and counselor attention. Camps will be held indoors in our well-ventilated, sanitized, professional art studios. For caregiver convenience, a carline will be used for camper drop-off and pick-up, and based on parent feedback, we will be communicating via email about what happens during the camp day at the Art Center. Please note that safety is a priority, and specific protocols will be refined based on guidance closer to the start time of camp; these details will be shared with caregivers in a welcome email prior to your session.

Half-Day Digital Summer Art Camp for Teens
Monday–-Friday, 12:45–3 PM
This camp offering is perfect for campers looking to expand their skills in the ever-evolving field of digital arts. This small-group camp will take place in our socially-distanced and sanitized digital arts studio. Due to the limited nature of this camp, each week will be repeated to accommodate more students.

Photography & Digital Photo Editing
August 15–19, 12:45–3 PM
Photography & Digital Photo Editing: Capture and edit images to create expressive photographs. Teens will learn the basic concepts of photography, experimenting with light, composition, depth of field, and more. Teens will gain an understanding of how to use a digital camera and will spend time in the digital lab editing their photographs. Students will need to bring a digital camera or smart phone with a camera for this course. They must also have a portable storage device, such as a thumb drive, for saving their progress in class.
