Introduction to Weaving on a Four-Shaft Loom

CourseGraphic This workshop is a comprehensive introduction to hand weaving on a tabletop loom. Students will learn how to calculate, measure, and wind the warp threads; dress the loom and select a threading plan; thread the heddles and reed; and weave a variety of weave structure patterns. Students will weave their choice of a scarf, wall piece, or table runner. Finishing methods will also be discussed and demonstrated. Limited to six students for individualized instruction.
