CourseGraphic Handbuilding is an ancient pottery-making technique that involves creating forms using the hands, fingers, and simple tools. Students will learn sculpting techniques like pinching, coiling, slab rolling, texturing, and—most importantly—scoring and slipping. After the student’s pieces are bisque fired they will be shown glazing techniques. In the end students will be able to leave class with beautiful sculptural and functional ceramic pieces.
