Painting for Teens (ages 13-17)

CourseGraphic Wednesdays, 6-8pm | Your teen will complete a series of original paintings focusing on a specific concept, technique and material, will gain inspiration from traditional and contemporary artists, and will be encouraged to use their own abilities to express themselves. Materials list available online.

Please read:  Materials List - Filbert bristle brushes in size 2, 4, 8, and 10 - Soft-hair flat brushes in size 2 and 4 - Sable round watercolor brush in size 4/0 - Pencil - Pallet knife - Glass pallet to fit in a pallet seal - Pallet seal to keep paints fresh - Medium cup - Liquin (smallest size) - Rembrandt/Van Gogh oil Paints in colors: - ivory black - Titanium white - Ultramarine blue o Indian red - Burnt umber - Raw sienna - Cadmium red - Cadmium yellow - Canvas pad 12 x 16 - Roll of paper towels - Empty and clean coffee can with lid - Empty and clean tuna can - Odorless mineral spirits from home depot Also bring an image of something you would like to paint, printed on glossy photo paper. Nothing too complex to start off with.
