NEW! Dry-Point Etching on Plexiglas

ID : 2629
« back to classes page
Dry-point etching is a process that does not require the use of acid as traditional etching does, making it a safer and friendlier option for printers.  On day one, students will work on their Plexiglas plate, bevel the edges, transfer the desired image onto the plate, and etch the image with the needle for lines and abrasive paper for tonal effects. On day two, students will learn how to make prints from their plates on the etching press.
