CourseGraphic This class will provide students an introduction to the vast world of illustration and visual narrative. Students will learn the fundamentals of brainstorming and participate in sketching activities that portray highly imaginative works of art. Students will explore observable themes ranging from the natural world to popular culture as inspiration for their creations. Students will learn how to use a variety of materials such as graphite, charcoal and colored pencils, watercolor, found images (collage), acrylic paint and more. Each project will include a demonstration of materials and techniques needed to advance the student’s visual storytelling abilities and technical proficiency. All materials provided.
