Tuesday, 3:30-5pm | Ready to start exhibiting your work? Learn the ins and outs of how to get prepared. This course will culminate with an exhibition of the classes’ work in the 2nd floor Strolling Gallery & Ann's Place Gallery at the Art Center. To get ready, everyone will learn how to write an artist statement and prepare promotional material for the exhibit, including using social media. Each student will prepare 1-3 professionly presented paintings for the show. The class will also plan the reception and learn how to discuss their work with prospective collectors.

Thursday, 3:30-5pm | This course is designed for artists interested in becoming Teaching Artists - either at the Art Center or elsewhere. Teaching at a studio school requires a special skill set to meet the needs of a diverse audience. This course will provide an overview of these skills, and how to develop them to ensure a satisfied student experience in the classroom. Topics covered include course development, preparation, marketing, presentation skills, classroom communication and management, demonstrations, and how to address the needs of a wide range of experience levels. This course is recommended for those who wish to achieve full instructor status at the Art Center (certification available on completion).
