This drawing class will guide beginner artists through the basics of drawing and sketching animals. Students will learn about shape language, values, texture, and simple anatomy. A variety of animal studies will be covered, including: reptiles, mammals, fish, amphibians, birds, and even invertebrates. By the end of the course, students will have a drawing of each animal group and a strong understanding of the fundamentals of sketching with graphite.
