Summer Art Camp for Tweens (ages 10–12)

This offering is for young artists ready to graduate to the next level of Art Camp, where they will explore art media and techniques in greater depth during two daily studio sessions. Our talented teaching artists will guide tweens in developing their own personal style while they learn and refine their art skills.


Paper Art and Painting with Acrylics
Monday, July 13 - Friday, July 17, 10 AM–3 PM

Paper Art: During this week, campers will make art using a variety of different kinds of paper. Students will learn to fold paper, use pulp to paint, explore quilling techniques, collage with printed material, and build sculptures with paper. Students will learn how to use paint, fibers, and other materials to enhance their paper creations.

Painting with Acrylics: Have fun exploring this versatile medium. Campers will learn how to block in a composition and see it come to life as they add paint to their canvas. They will learn the fundamentals of painting, including brush techniques, how to create light and shadow, and color mixing. Campers will also learn how to handle the materials properly. Campers should wear clothes that can get messy—acrylics don’t wash out of clothes!

Flexible Extended Care
Our flexible extended care options make busy family schedules easier while also giving students more time to create and explore. Extended care is a welcoming space to start or end the camp day with free-choice art activities and games in a fun and relaxed environment. Flexible, affordable, and supervised by caring staff, these options are the perfect extension of the camp day. You can purchase single days or full-week care starting at 8 AM and ending at 5:30 PM.

The following options are available:
$30 for early drop-off OR late pick-up per day
$115 for a full week of early drop-off OR late pick-up
$190 for a full week of early drop-off AND late pick-up
