ID : 834
« back to classes page
CourseGraphic Oil sticks (or oil bars) are a wonderful medium for painting. They can be thought of as artist’s oil paint in stick form, and can be applied to a canvas (or any other support that is appropriate for oil paint) quickly, easily and dynamically to create exciting, expressive marks that are not possible with ordinary oil paint. Oil sticks can also be used without solvents or a palette. Come experiment with this versatile medium and learn an alternative way to create textured surface and strong marks on canvas. All materials provided.
