From Spark to Art: Introduction to Wood Burning

Get fired up with creativity in this wood–burning class for beginners! Students will learn the basic techniques of wood burning by using a craft wood burning tool with tips to execute a variety of designs on different kinds of surfaces. Based on time and skill level, students will create 1–3 projects (a 3x7–inch basswood sign, a cork trivet or coasters, and a 5x12–inch poplar wood sign) with the guidance of the instructor.
