Mixed Media Explorations - 5 weeks; START 4/1

There is no limit to the possibilities in this mixed media class. Students will work in layers experimenting with additive and subtractive techniques using acrylic paint, acrylic mediums, plaster, fabric, paper, images, and stencils to create beautiful multi-dimensional surfaces on canvas and paper. Each lesson will include demonstrations as well as review of select contemporary mixed media artwork. The class will revisit color selection process, play with composition, loosen up, and mix it up while having fun with endless experimentation. Some materials provided. Additional supplies to be discussed during the first class.
