CourseGraphic Are you looking for a challenge to expand and develop your wheel throwing skills?  Enroll in this two session workshop to create a cohesive nesting bowl set! Nesting bowls are a great way to practice throwing with control, making cohesive forms and to make pieces that not only function well, but also, are beautiful. In the first session, students will focus on the throwing part of the process. During the second session, students will dive into trimming, fine-tuning, and maybe a bit of greenware decorating to tie everything together. This workshop is designed for intermediate and advanced pottery students who are comfortable with centering, pulling, and trimming. The materials fee covers the cost of bisque firing and studio usage. Students will need to purchase clay and bring their own wheel throwing supplies the day of the workshop. Also, students can finish their pieces during class time or there are ceramics open studios available during the semester if they wish to register and glaze their pieces once bisque-fired.
