« back to classes page

Drypoint is a simple, no-acid method of intaglio etching. Images are drawn directly onto a copper plate with a drypoint needle which raises a burr for the ink to settle in. Students will learn how to etch an image, print their plate in black & white, do additions and subtractions, and explore ways to add color. Students will also be instructed in using the press, mixing inks, and plate registration. Please click on the link below for the materials list.
